And the pondering goes on and on

When I was in school, the most common remark my teachers gave to my parents was that I’m smart, but very lazy.  I’m not too sure about the smart part but they got the lazy part down pat.  What I do know is that if I actually put my mind to something and concentrate, chances are I’d do a pretty decent job.  But I guess the same goes to anybody.  What was it again about success being 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration?  Mr. Edison would know what he was talking about.

Sometimes I do wonder, what if I actually put the effort to really study when I was in school and ditto in uni?  Would I now be a cocky yuppie jetsetting all over the world?  And what if I actually put some extra effort in my job today, would my boss actually have promoted me to a higher position?  Because the truth of the matter is, outside of work I couldn’t be bothered reading everything finance and investment.  Preferring instead to read up on all things fitness and catch up on my good old English literature.

But as I’ve mentioned earlier, life is too short for What Ifs.  At almost 30 (hitting the third decade this January.  Take note everybody!), I’m letting my life go wherever the wind blows.

I'm currently re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird (this is my fav. modern lit book).

I love poems by Edgar Allan Poe too. Oscar Wilde's are also good :)

Lama dah tak re-read those classics. This post of yours has just given me the encouragement to do so.

I'm thinking perhaps, to start with A Tale Of Two Cities...
